Who we are?

Pioneering Partner in Cambodia (PPC) is a non-partisan, non-profit, faith-based non-governmental organisation.

PPC’s goal is to inspire and equip the communities with a vision for empowering them wholistically using their own resources.

The staff of PPC are delighted to contribute to the wholistic development of Cambodia and are committed to form the organisation in accordance with Chapter III, Article 42 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Background

Pioneering Partner in Cambodia (PPC) is a Local Non-governmental Organization that is registered at the Ministry of Interior, the Kingdom of Cambodia No. 2876 SCN, 24 December 2009. It is as a result of localization program that the International Cooperation Cambodia (ICC) is doing in the country.

ICC is a diverse Christian development organisation committed to serving the least-served across the Kingdom of Cambodia.

ICC is comprised of five international NGOs :

• Finish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM) Finland
• InterAct Sweden
• Normisjon Norway
• Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) International
• Cambodia Action (former : Southeast Asian Outreach (SAO) Cambodia) UK

Since 1993, the member agencies of ICC have been involved in relief and development work amongst the Cambodian people. This multi-faceted work now continues under the name of ICC in the areas of language development, education, healthcare, food security, agriculture, income generation, leadership development and other activities that improve the well-being of people and communities around Cambodia. At the moment ICC runs a number of projects/programs in several provinces in Cambodia.

One of the ICC projects/programs is Skills Promotion for Poverty Alleviation (SPPA) Program. This program was started in 2002 and closed in December 2009. Three of the SPPA staff (Khmers) started a local non-governmental organization called PPC in 2009 before closing SPPA Program.

The founders are Mr. Pisey LY, Ms. Phanna MER and Mrs. Chanleap TUN.
