The project’s Goal has three main components:

  1. Promoting micro-enterprise development,
  2. Promoting empowerment to rural youth through setting a self-help group in a form of Saving and Credit Association, and;
  3. Promoting a sustainable livelihood development through setting up a local business network

 Methods

Methods that will be used are training, facilitating, coaching and mentoring. One of the most important aspects is independency, so PPC-YEs will promote and train them to be able to help themselves and to be able to have confidence. That’s why PPC-YEs is planning on setting up a Youth Solidarity group as a local partner in implementing the project. So PPC-YEs will give them the opportunity to try it for themselves, whereas PPC-YEs will only be the encourager and mentor who will give a full support in terms of knowledge and encouragement. Beneficiaries will have to struggle for themselves in order to be successful. That is why PPC-YEs is putting character building and people empowerment as parts of the project learning materials.

So training itself will be a filter which will filtered those who really determined and serious in starting their own business. So training is one important part in shaping their character and preparing them for the business world. This training and self-help group will also provide a certain amount of time to gather enough funds needed for the ME start-ups.
